NEW HOLLAND, PA – With the introduction of the next generation of small square balers, New Holland continues its legacy of innovation and quality in hay harvesting technology. New Holland BC5000 Series square balers are more productive, more reliable and easier to use and maintain than ever before.
The new BC5000 Series, including three different 14 x 18 square baler models plus a high-output 16 x 18 model, deliver consistent bale density. They retain a number of features that are hallmarks of New Holland balers: the Super-Sweep pickup that saves valuable crop; the exclusive power-pivot PTO for outstanding maneuverability; and the gear-driven knotter that ties thousands of bales without a miss.
Easier service access
A number of design changes make servicing the BC5000 Series easier than ever. The new flip-up front gearbox shielding provides unobstructed access to the main gearbox and hydroformatic oil pump system to ease maintenance. The knotter gear drive has been redesigned to make it simple to replace the pickup belt, and the hydroformatic oil pump has been relocated for easier service access. A new pickup drive chain access shield on Models BC5070 and BC5080 also provide more convenient entry to service areas.
More durability, more productivity
The new B5000 Series are more durable than ever, with Category 6, heavy-duty drivelines on Models BC5060, BC5070 and BC5080. Haydog spring mounts have been reinforced for added durability. The replaceable feeder floor on the BC5070 provides wear resistance and easier serviceability at the bale chamber joint, eliminating feeder floor cracking.
To boost productivity, the larger capacity Models BC5070 and BC5080 can now accommodate eight balls of twine in the twine box to keep baling longer without rethreading. Conveniently located at the rear of the baler, the box has a hinged lid to keep twine clean and dry. BC5060 and BC5070 are still offered in wire-tie versions
