February 14, 2012 - New Holland Telehandlers Offer High Lifting Performance in Compact Package

NEW HOLLAND, PA --New Holland has extended the LM5000 range of telehandlers to include two new compact models to suit the needs of operators that work in restricted spaces. The two new models, the LM5020 and LM5030, offer high levels of lifting performance in a compact package. They feature productivity enhancing 360° visibility and unsurpassed maneuverability, together with industry-leading levels of operator comfort, all housed in a super compact frame.

"With these new compact telehandlers, accessing the tight spaces and hard-to-reach corners of a mixed-farming operation, landscaping yard or municipal site is no longer a chore in itself, "says Mike Cornman, Dairy & Livestock Marketing Manager. "With tremendous lift height and lift capacity combined with a tight turning radius, they're more productive than a tractor with a front-end loader and more efficient than a larger skid steer. The LM5020 is perfect for poultry houses, small livestock operations, landscapers, and greenhouses while the LM5030 is the natural choice for more demanding dairy farm operations, working in hilly conditions, for silage applications, or even for light industrial use. "

The new LM5030 and LM5020 telehandlers are as compact and low profile as any units in their class, but feature greater stability when lifting loads at full extension. Their compact dimensions ensure they can access tight areas while maintaining the power to perform. The LM5020 is equipped with a powerful and efficient 85-hp Tier 3 common rail turbo-charged engine, whereas the LM5030 offers a 101-hp mechanical injection engine for economical efficiency.

The LM5020's overall dimensions of 13.5' x 72"x 75.2" (length x width x height) mean that even the lowest poultry houses can be accessed with ease. When combined with a 5,510 lbs. lift capacity, performance and accessibility are a given. The LM5030 also guarantees easy access, together with a beefed-up lift capacity of 6,175 lbs. in a compact frame of 15.4' x 81" x 80.3" (length x width x height).
Both offer turn on-a-dime maneuverability, even in the tightest yards and sheds, with a turning radius of 11.2' (LM5020) and 13.1' (LM5030).

The LM5020 and LM5030 models have been optimized for reliability and dependability in demanding operating environments. All key stressed components, including the chassis and boom, are made of thick, reinforced steel to guarantee stability and durability during prolonged operation. On average, they are 10-12% heavier than the competition for increased stability when lifting heavy loads at full extension.

The cabs offer industry-leading levels of operator comfort and ergonomic operation for increased productivity and reduced fatigue during long working days. The spacious cab is mounted on silent blocks to cushion operators when working on uneven terrain. Operators of all sizes will feel perfectly at home as all machine controls fall perfectly to hand and can be operated from the comfort of the driver's seat.
